So I'm back? Again!

Well it's been a while since I wrote one of these. Where to start...

Well last week I re-installed eve and had a play about in EFT to see what the T1 cruiser balancing had done. I was pleasantly suprised to see that they were overpowered, which meant I could play around in some cheapish ships and get myself blown up multiple times to shake the rust off. I had a lot of fun and gave Sashenka a nudge to come pvp with me. After a few skirmishes and some laughs I decided it was time to come back to eve properly. I didn't feel like I was just here for a few weeks and then disappearing back to LoL this time. So once again I formed a corp and asked friends to come join me. I'm still in the process of getting some of them to join up but I'm positive about it. Understandably I think some of them think I'll disappear after a month again bored of Eve. But I honestly feel like I'm enjoying the game for what it is again. Although last time I liked to solo or fly with Sash mainly, this time I'm more inclined to do small gang roaming rather than solo/duo. I'm also really wanting to teach some new players what I know and get them killing shit too.

Right so to the fighting bit. I've taken quite a few expensive losses over the past week but I'm putting this down to been rusty and getting back into the swing of things, as well as been a bit of a retard now and then. However this Monday just gone we had a lot of fun but considering it's Thursday now I've forgotten how everything went down.

I'm also streaming again which is quite fun. I've met some characters through it and even had 60+ people watching it at one point. But like I said I'm preferring the small gang stuff to solo and still need to get a few more people to the area to make the small gang stuff more regular. Mind you I do have 47 kills in the last 11 days so things are still pretty good.

Take a look at our killboard at http://killboard.lasthuzzah.com

I'll get some more skirmish reports up the next time we have an interesting fight for you to read. That's all for now but yeh i'm back. Oh and if you're looking for small gang pvp yourself have a read of the stuff below from previous skirmishes with the same bunch of guys and give me a shout if you fancy joining in!

Apologies!

Sorry I haven't blogged much recently but there's a good reason why!

<--- THIS XD

Recently I ordered myself a BenQ 120HZ 24inch LED Backlit 2ms monitor. Which will make my video editing for youtube a whole lot better.

I'll leave you for now and will have an eve pvp blog up sometime this week with details and maybe a video or two of some insane fights we've had.

I'm a friendly douche

Hello again people!

I've been whoring League of Legends recently so Eve hasn't had it's rightful share of my time. I can finally play ranked games on LoL and have setup a 3v3 ranked team with Sashenka & Wolfman. Those of you that play LoL will find it extremely funny that I'm in an insane Elo Hell where my elo has dropped BELOW 700. Now this is beyond annoying but I've finally worked out how I can carry my team even if they are all crap. The massive problem with been this low is that I'm under the bridge with all the trolls and people who go afk during game. Meh. Anyways, back to eve!

So the main reason for not playing eve is above, but there was also an incursion in the 0.0 space we roam. This didn't bother me much as I didn't really login to play but when I finally did I saw that the guys in corp were wanting to put out some war decs because the incursion was annoying them and were unable to do so. For you corpies reading this I'll be sorting this shortly!

Now myself and Sashenka decided to go for a quick roam last night at about 3am. Yes that's very late but it was a saturday and I was waaayyyyy too hungover from Friday night to go out again, so settled down for a long night of playing games. Sash was already flying his Harbinger in PVH fighting a small gang of Flying Dangerous pilots. From what I remember it was a t1 cruiser gang of about 5/6. He killed a stabber and then escaped while in structure. Good lad! I fit up a Talos in Orvolle and headed his way. By the time I got there the gang had retired to the station and we went searching for new targets. Sash got out of his Harbinger and went and fit the same Talos as me.

Now when the Talos first came out I wasn't a massive fan. That been said I didn't have t2 blasters and null so I didn't get to use it properly. Now I'm all skilled up properly they are much more fun. Putting out about 600dps at 30km is a whole lot of fun. We even managed to kill a deimos that was 55km from us. Very odd but we weren't complaining. More details later.

So we head out to 6-C in syndicate and go looking for targets to kill. On my way to meet sash I noticed there were about 30 in F67E local. Usually there's around 5. The MHC gate was bubbled with a couple of ships camping the gate. I reckoned it must be a pos bash and the guys on gate were here just to catch anything that wanted to try intefere. As I was going to meet up with Sash I didn't engage just yet but noted they were there to go back and have a look. Upon arriving in 6-C there were no targets to shoot so we decided to head straight to F67E and see what fight we could get out of the 30 in local. From what I remember we jumped in and there was only a Hurricane on gate. Shortly after though a couple of Arazu's decloaked and we nuked one quickly and got out before the rest of their gang could arrive. Ships were appearing on scan by the station so we went to have a look at what we could play with. There were about 7 ships outside the station with a mix of bc's, hacs and a couple of capitals. We burned off to get some distance and a deimos followed us. Now bare in mind our Talos guns were meant to have a 15k optimal and 25k falloff. Meaning at 40k there'd be less than 50% chance of hitting people and even less chance of that damage been anything worthwile. The deimos was around 50km from Sashenka and 65km from me. We opened fire to see what we could do and after about 5minutes of shooting him he popped. Why he stuck around when he could of just warped off or docked is beyond me? Maybe he was hoping the capitals would repair him and they didn't, who knows. Then they did the usual carebear thing and sent the fighters after us. Fighters after 2 BC's with 8 large guns each? We popped 2 or 3 fighters before they recalled them and a Falcon appeared. At that point we left. ECM.. Deserves to be shot in the face. But not in front of anyone specific of course!

We then decided to head over to PF-. The 0.0 entrance from Orvolle. This place is usually constantly camped either by big gangs that are fail and bored or a couple of opportunists looking for some easy kills. There's about 6 in local so we decide to warp straight to the gate and get a quick engagement if anyone is there. Coming out of warp we land in a small bubble with 2 Hurricanes sat on it. Sash landed first so immediately calls the primary and we go to work on him. We destroy both of them in quick succession but they did dish out quite a lot of pain to us too. Good easy quick fight had. Oh and some little cheeky gimp in a manticore dropped a bomb on us killing our warriors and killmail whoring. Come on dude that's just annoying!

With our drones nuked we head 3 jumps out to 31-M to restock. On the way I notice 2 Arbitrators and a Catalyst on scan. They are at a belt ratting so I head there at 0km to start a fight. Knowing that they were probably rocking Tracking Disruptors I made sure to use my Null ammo and keep a decent 20km range on them. Even though I was tracking disrupted at 20km I still hit the guys for alright damage but they were killing me at the same rate I was going to kill one of them. In comes sashenka and instantly one Arbitrator pops. Shortly after so does the second and the GF's are exchanged in local.

Now we've restocked our drones we decide to head back to PF- to see if anyone else has setup camp in the last 15 minutes. Lo and Behold there's a Drake sat on the gate on his lonesome. I tell Sash to ungroup his weapons and only hit the Drake with 2 out of 8 guns. The Drake doesn't agress but the gate fires and incomes a Vagabond friendly of his. We turn each of our 8guns onto the vagabond and he quickly dies. The drake then jumps out to safety while no doubt his friend is going crazy at him ;).

At this point it's about 4am, I'm pretty tired and want another game of LoL before heading off to bed. We head back to our home system to see if there's any targets on the way and to call it a night. Before I can do so however a flashy red Hurricane jumps into empire. I chase him and so does a neutral rifter and thorax. I'm shouting for the rifter pilot to tackle him but after 6 jumps he still hasn't. He convo's me to ask which way he headed and I let him know. I'm saying to Sash on comms that he probably has warp core stabs fitted but I'm going to chase anyway. Eventually we end up in lowsec near tama and I get a point on the Hurricane myself. He then proceeds to very quickly melt and the rifter also dives onto the kill. Guess he didn't fit stabs, silly boy. Obviously I then go into douche mode and turn my guns on the rifter that's been helping me and pop him too. Mwaaha :D. The guy has a little bit of a "FU!" fit in local and I go dock up. I check the guys employment history to see he's only been playing since December and feel a little harsh. I check our killboard to see how much his ship was worth and send him an extra 1mill for the trouble. He's then a very happy chap and wanting the killmails for his board. At this point I logoff and go for a game of LoL happy after a successfull short roam.

Sorry for not having an epic tale this time round and it feeling a little bit rushed but there's not much more to say!

A Mixed Bag of Tricks

Story Time!

So yesterday we had another skirmish gang that turned out to be quite fun but I forgot to fraps it. In fact I've forgotten most of what happened already... Hmmm. I guess I'll tell you what I remember!

So after playing a bit of League of Legends with Sashenka and finally hitting level 30 (WOOHOOO!!) we decided to play a bit of Eve. Shortly after logging in Sash has probed a wormhole in our home system and it leads to Venal. Myself, Sash & Eaglecrys fleet up. Sash tells us tales of previous pvp outings to Venal and how many carebears are in this certain system. Curious of what shiney ships would be awaiting us at our destination we head on in. A friendly local called Jericho159 laughs at our ship choices to roam nullsec and tells us to go to VFK for some action. We ignore him and eagerly burn towards our shiney destination. Venal seems pretty dead but Sashenka's positive that this system is the holy grail and we'll find something shiney. Turns out the only shiney thing in system was the sun, fun times.

We then start burning for random destinations and Sash comes across a Raiden. gang on station. They have 3 Panthers, Tengu, Huginn, Rapier, Oracle, 3 stealth bombers and a dramiel. Although not all of these were there at the start. Sash kills the Dramiel in his Drake as he runs away. We decide to engage and pull them through the gate into us so we could suicide dive the rapier and then take down some stealth bombers. We ended up destroying the rapier and then been destroyed ourselves. However we were happy with the exchange of a Dramiel & Rapier for 3 battlecruisers. We asked them to help us take the pod express and they did. Well they did with Sash & Eagle but they seemed to dislike me and made me wait 2 minutes :(.

Now we're back in our home system relaxing in station wondering what to go out in next. I'm messing around in my room when I hear Sash say he's found a tengu in a plex. Myself & Eagle get back to the wormhole just as Sash says he has a point. We jump on in and more candy appears, a tornado decloaks. On landing I notice the Tengu pilot is Jericho159, the same guy who mocked us and told us to go toVFK for a fight earlier. We quickly rape the Tengu and Tornado. This time were in a Gila, Vaga & Hurricane. Laughs are had on teamspeak at Jericho159 and we head back through the wormhole to our home system. Turns out he had around 300M worth of salvage in his hold that dropped :). As we're in warp to the station another Tornado decloaks in the plex but he's long gone before we can get back. We dock up and chill out for a while.

A while later a couple more corp members log on and are hungry for explosions. We have some corp stuff to do first but decide to go for a roam in Syndicate. After about an hour of saying we're going to form up and pvp we actually do so. There's five of us with two dual boxing. We have my Gila, two Tempest's, Hurricane, Rupture and the alt's in a Scimitar & Falcon. We head to the PC9 area to see if we can get a fight but it's quiet. We then decide to head down into the S-U pocket where we usually always get a fight. However on the way Wolfy mentions an Armageddon undocked from station and I go to see if he redocked or warped. Turns out he had warped off to a gate so we start chasing him. We don't catch him but we do see a fleet on scan in one of the systems we're in. From what we can see they have 4 Drakes, Tengu, Rapier and some tackle? After a very short conversation we decide to jump in and warp to the gate they're on. They warp off and proceed to run from us stating the fact we have a Falcon and a Scimitar as the reason they are doing so. We leave these guys to it and go looking for more targets.

Shortly after we come across another gang. These guys have Drakes, 3 Basilisks and some others I can't remember. Aware that the Basilisks could out-rep us we discuss whether we can fight them. Noting our Falcon had two Caldari jammers and our Tempests both had heavy neuts we knew we stood a chance. The call was made for Rogerios to try jam 2 Basilisks and let us know the results. We warp in at about 30km range and proceed to engage. A Falcon uncloaks on grid so Rogerious has to jam this guy instead. We primary the Falcon and he hits very low armor before the Basilisks start to rep him. We must have scared him because he warps off. Immediately after, Rogerious calls that he has one Basilisk jammed and the pilots name. I then ask him to keep that one perma-jammed and designate another Basilisk as the one to be neuted while calling primary for damage on the third. This must have worked as they start to deagress, apart from one drake who keeps aggresisng. Maybe he wasn't on voice comms? He died. More banter on teamspeak about the situation and we head back to the PC9 area to see if they are ready to fight yet, dropping off loot on the way.

Once in the PC9 area Sash gets chatting to his friendly hostile and see's if they want a fight. Before that can happen the Drake/Tengu/Rapier gang from earlier are back in the area and seem to want to fight. Who are we to say no to them? For a while we're both sat on either side of the gate waiting for the other to come through. I ask the fleet to move over to another system nearby to see if they follow us. As we land on the outgate there's an Ishkur engaging a Drake. We give the Ishkur a hand and obliterate the Drake. The hostile gang have dived into local at this point and are in warp to our gate so we burn off and get some distance. I call the Rapier primary but notice a Sabre and Stiletto burning for Sash in his Tempest. We immediately change primaries to these and kill them quickly. By this time the drakes have already got hold of Sash and the alt Scimitar was out of range to rep him, doh! I call the nearest drake to Sash primary thinking of trying to get scrams off him even though he's heavily webbed. I definitely should have called the Rapier primary again. Sash notices our Falcon alt in a pretty bad position so the Falcon warps out. Our lighter more agile ships do well at keeping range while engaging. Our Tempests, although fast for a battleship, are still slow compared to the rest of us and are taken down by their fleet. I then notice Eagle quite close to them and mention it on comms. Turns out his capacitor died. At that point I find out there's only one ship with a point on him and call that ship primary. Unfortunatley he still dies, we don't get the kill and I call the warp out. We may have lost this time but still had a whole lot of fun. Eagle was especially psyched as he hadn't had a pvp kill for over 100 days.

Heading back to our home system we shortly analyse what happened and how we can do better in future. Replacing Tempests for Tornados is the main suggestion with other idea's floating about. Personally I was thinking about my target calling and situation awareness as I haven't done it for a while. I made a few mistakes with primaries, especially not going back to the rapier but all in all I didn't think I did too badly.

Yet another day where I actually wanted to play Eve. A month ago I couldn't be bothered to even login but thanks to these old friends and the fact that they've left their corps to come fly with me and Sash again, my love for Eve is slowly coming back.

Turns out my memory seems to be slowly coming back too!

Back to the Gila

Hello people!

So recently I've been flying cheap t1 insured ships to try and get the rust off before I start flying my expensive nano ships again. This was all well and good but it's actually going to make my nano worse and not better.

So I'm back in the Gila!

For those of you who haven't flown a nano Gila before it's basically an Ishtar that goes 2kms with more shields, better resistances and 3 heavy missile launchers for extra dps. In all it's absolute win.

However been a nano drone boat you do have some major issues to overcome. Firstly you're main dps is drones and most of the time they are a long way away from your ship. This means you lose a LOT of drones when engaging and needing to run away. The new reconnect shortcut is very handy but most of the time your drones end up dead. The second major problem directly relates to this. If a frigate or something tackles you up close, your drones are miles away to come back and damage them. There are multiple ways to get around these problems but it's still something you don't have to deal with in other ships. Also on a side-note the new reconnect feature can be used to trick people ;).

So a couple of days ago I was thinking about getting back into my nano mindset. Whether I should start in a training vexor or jump straight back into a Gila was the question. The Gila won. Mainly because Rogerios on our corp killboard was storming ahead and I aren't going to just let that tit disappear into the distance!

I undock from our base and head into Syndicate to see what's going on. I find a few bc's hanging around and start to engage them. This then turns into a fleet and I hang around trying to pick off tackle as they come for me. Unfortunately they are all pretty mobile and I'm unable to split them up as much as I'd like. I had a few into low armor but couldn't risk getting close enough to point them without been tackled and killed myself. It resulted in no kills but was still an extremely fun skirmish and the guys in local seemed to think so too. I then called it a day and went to play another game for a while.

Later on the same day I go back out and head to the PC9 area of syndicate. I see a hurricane and fleet stabber on scan on my way to one of the back systems and it turns out they are on my out gate. I jump through to see what they have on the other side and it's clear. I've played around with these guys before so know that within 10 minutes they'll have 10+ people chasing me around. I jump back through and mwd off the gate to get some distance. I then drop my Bouncer II's and head back to the gate to point the cane. His shields are taking decent hits from my drones but not enough to kill him quickly. I switch over to the fleet stabber but my log is showing that my drones are missing too many hits on him. A frigate then joins the fray so I abandon my bouncers and drop some warriors. After killing the frigate I put out some valks and go to work on the fleet stabber. He's going down quite quickly. More ships are arriving on field and the counts up to something like 1v6. At this point I can't really get close enough to anything to point them so I'm just relying on my drones killing things before they warp out. Unfortunately this doesn't happen and they are all on the ball with warping out. Now there are 2/3 frigates on the field, 3/4bc's and 1/2 hacs. I warp off the field knowing that this is going to get real shakey real fast. I mention in corp that I saw a rapier on scan too and should probably stay away and cloak up.

Now like I said I know these guys will throw everything you have at them. But because I'd outran and outsmarted them so far my ego got the better of me. I scanned the gate to see a taranis, firetail and hurricane on gate. I decide to go back to rape the frigates then get out. They both burned at me so I overloaded my medium neut and dropped my valks. I originally burn away from them and then slingshot back targeting the taranis as my primary. His shields drop fast but I know his structure is his main defence. The taranis and firetail both have webs and points on me but I happen to know only the taranis has a scram. I try my best to take the taranis down but as I'm doing so a rapier appears on field and double webs me. At this point I know it's game over but reckon I may as well still try and kill the ranis before I die. Shortly after, the rest of their fleet arrive on grid and smash me into tiny pieces before I can kill the ranis. GF's are said in local and I quit eve in a bit of a downer and head to bed to watch Top Gear.

Today I'm thinking over the whole situation and realising what I did wrong. The main point was the fact that I knew they'd throw everything at me within 15minutes but didn't use my own sense to leave. The second was that I'd lost quite a lot of drones throughout the engagement so wasn't at full capability and again should have left the field a while back. All this comes down to me been rusty. Taking these mistakes into consideration for my next fights should see me back ontop!

Fraps of my death below! Goddamn why didn't I launch my other warriors ha!

New Corporation

Yo people!

Alright so recently I started a new corp with a couple of friends and invited more friends to come join us. We've been having a barrel of laughs back in Syndicate with plenty of kills and deaths to brag and be ashamed about!

Recently we have met an alliance that are extremely fun to shoot. They are called Luna Sanguinem.

One evening a few of us were playing around in Reblier when a legion undocked from our station. Naturally we aggress it expecting it to dock and naturally it did so. Two minutes later it undocked again. Expecting it to redock as soon as we aggressed it again I let my dual rep sacriledge be shot down to 10% armor by the gate guns to bait him in. Low and behold he aggressed thinking he could kill me. I rep up easily and 2 or 3 of us kill him. We have a few laughs on teamspeak at his misfortune and decide to go on a roam. However before we can do so he undocks again in an oracle. I can't really remember how things happened after this but basically he died a lot. He ended up losing a Legion, Oracle, Broadsword and a Raven! This was just hillarious to us. Oh and he also had a friend in a Cerberus who sat there and wisely didn't engage. Turned out it was the CEO of his corp. I do wish I could of heard their comms!

Yesterday we saw them camping the Reblier gate in 6-C once again. Myself and Rogerios were online so decided to chase them and mess with them. It was 2 vs about 10 and they ran. More laughs were had. We eventually killed a blackbird while chasing them. Now here comes the retarded part. Over confident as we were I thought to myself that we should stop chasing before something goes wrong and we end up dead. Rogerios wanted more blood so we kept chasing. I ran head first into a bubble and died, with Rog following but escaping. I then went back to reship into my drake and bring my alt in her falcon.

Oh yes this went even worse.. Me and dual boxing just don't go! The typical "Oh shit my falcons been attacked and now dead" situation happened with me also losing the drake. Rog's harb also died and we hung our heads in shame. We've had some more skirmishes with these guys since then and they've been a mixed bag. They are still severely lacking in skill but we're also lacking in numbers.

Anyways this is how it currently stands but I WILL get vengeance on them. Just you wait!! :)

Nice picture of the blackbird rape below :)
